Citing from Google Scholar

When you find a work you want to cite in Google Scholar, it's pretty easy to Cite it from there...

(Just click the "quote" link.)

Your citation options will appear in a pop up. Copy the citation style you need from here and paste to a document, or transfer it to a Citation Manager.

 

 

Citing from EBSCO Databases

Ebsco databases allow you to Export references to a Manager, or create a citation one by one.

When you've found your article you want to cite, click the title of the article link.

This will bring up a screen with a list of tools on the right side.  Click Cite.

The Cite link will bring up your options to the article formatted in different styles. Copy your example and paste it into your own document for safe keeping until you turn in your paper...

Citing from ScienceDirect

ScienceDirect has one place to go - it is the Export Citations pull down menu at the top of the screen when you are viewing your article.

Export Citations

Select Text and Citation Only.

Citation Example

This will bring a formatted citation to a new browser that you can copy and paste into a document.  For better control of the citation style, use Export to send the citation to a Reference Manager.

Citing from ProQuest

In ProQuest databases, click the checkbox beside any articles you want to create a citation for, then click the "Cite link at the top of the screen:

Then you will get a pop-up screen to select what style you want the citation in, from there you can copy and paste it into your document, or email or print it.
